I cannot play any songs in my library on WIN 10

I am running WIN 10 64 bit on a desktop Tower, (brand new) I imported my iTunes Library recently. None of the songs will play. Please, if you can advise possible remedies, give me a Pathway, as I am old & sight challenged!

I really have no idea what might be wrong, if you need more info, please ask.

Thanks

Sylvia

First, please confirm that you copied over to the new computer the entire iTunes folder, not just the music files.

Then launch iTunes on the new computer while holding down the Shift key, then select the new library.

iTunes: How to move your music to a new computer (Mac or Windows):

Reconnecting moved iTunes library:

* Open iTunes while holding down the Option key (Mac) or Shift key (Windows).

* In the resulting dialog, click the Choose Library button.

So, sorry, tt2, you cannot assume! I received info on just re-connecting to my library, and that, in essence did work, but methinks I received the wrong advice. If only my so called IT expert had done the right thing by me in the first place...sigh.....the Playlists that I created on my old computer are all there, but when I try to open a file, it is telling me it does not exist....OMG....now I just was messing around in the files & I got one song to play.....but I don't know how!

Thanks for trying to help, I will get back to you all if anything else happens, here's hoping I can get them all to play!

Many thanks for your time tt2 & Rysz...

Well it sounds as if my first guess was reasonably close if you see playlists that you recognize as having created, with the songs listed in them. As long as the media files themselves got copied over too then the first link I posted has advice on reconnecting the broken links so that iTunes works properly again. If you can give me the three pieces of information requested at the end I can advise further.

If for some reason you don't have the media files then can they still be retrieved from the old computer? If not do they exist on any Apple devices? I have recovery techniques for that too.
